Old/hip chinese man
When you drive through San Gabriel Valley, you will notice that there are A LOT of Asians who have immigrated recently. Last Sunday, I was at a stop light on San Gabriel Blvd and Valley Blvd, waiting for the light to turn green and I notice that there was this little tiny guy crossing the street. He was probably about 4 feet tall. And then I noticed that he was an OLD MAN. He was wearing his baseball hat sideways, a baggy t-shirt, baggy pants and even walked with a limp. I would say he's either the most hip, senior chinese citizen or some old man accidentally dressed up fashionably without knowing it. Either way, he made me feel like I found a $20 bill in my jeans before washing them. Sideways smile.

Storyboard Deadline
I have been working too much lately because my storyboards are due on monday. Because of that I haven't been able to do things that I used to do normally like doodling, shopping online, leaving obscure comments on facebook, or researching products to shop online. I have many plans after I turn in these boards. First, I'm going to lie down on the floor, face down, and relax.

Dora vs Swiper
My kids love to watch Dora. In case you don't know, Swiper steals things from Dora and she says "Swiper, No swiping!" But for some reason, all I hear is "SWIPER, NO SNIPING." This is what happens when child like innocence goes away and cynicism takes over your heart, soul, and mind.

Story time is FUN!
The other day, I took my 2 kids to the local library for story time while my wife got a haircut. It was filled with little babies that think books are for chewing, I was amazed. Also, their mommies looked nothing like them. I am assuming those are either 1) nannies 2) really nice ladies who can't get enough of babies. One day, when my book is finished, I'd love to have these babies chew on it.

Korra the Explorer
Did you guys hear that Avatar is coming back to Nickelodeon?! The new Avatar series is called Korra the Explorer and airs on April 14th! I can hardly wait! I saw the trailer on Korra Nation and the show looks 10 times better than the previous series. My only concern is whether Diego is coming back or not. No Diego, no Korra.

self portrait
This is me. I like to draw with a gigantic sharpie on a large piece of paper. And I'm fast like a rabbit, only if there's a carrot dangling in front of my face. I chose rabbit simply because I was born in the year of the rabbit. So if you calculate correctly you can figure out what year I was born.

Spiderman
I always thought how convenient it is for Spiderman to take off his mask in movies so we, the audience, can see the actors 'emote'. If I were Spiderman, I'd never take off my mask. Do you have any idea how much identity happens EVERY DAY!? That's why I shred all of my mail before I throw them into trash. Anyway, I thought it would be funny to see a reverse Spiderman effect: Peter Parker wearing nothing but the mask.

Carson from Downton Abbey
I've been watching Downton Abbey, another great series with so many great characters. I'll probably be doing other characters in the future.

long hair
My hair is getting long. And it's not even 'cool' long hair, it's uneven. I guess it's time for an oil change. Maybe I'll get a haircut too...

Radio Controlled Car
When I was about 9, I was obsessed with RC cars. I had the toy RC cars but they were too slow. I wanted the ones where you buy the kit and build it yourself but my parents thought they were too advanced for a 9 year old. Plus they cost about $300 which is astronomical to a kid. They wouldn't buy one for me. Later that year, I asked Santa for to bring me one... he didn't. The drawing above is what I used to dream every night until I turned 13.

sketch book
I've been trying to bring my sketchbook everywhere I go and sometimes I draw in it. The problem is not the people who can't seem to stay still. It's my darn hand that would not move the way I imagine.
